I've been marketing online for a number of years and have had some great successes and some failures.

Nobody knows better than me the agony of not being able to make a mortgage payment because of a lousy month of sales. The shame of running a failed business was sometimes more than I could bare. Constantly bombarded by stories of this and that marketer making $25,000 a month in profits. I was tired of being just above broke.

...and then I would hear stories like the 13 year old whiz kid who pulled in over $120,000 in a year working online part-time after school.

All I ever wanted was to work from home and earn a decent living. Working at a J.O.B. was not something I wanted to go back to. You've seen the pictures of some guru standing there beside his new Ferrari with his big mansion behind him. To heck with that. I just needed enough to pay the mortgage and buy food for my kids.

$3000 a month would cover my expenses plus leave some money to reinvest in my online business. So I set out to learn how to make $100 a day. It shouldn't be that hard, I thought. I started buying up ebooks and courses and watched a lot of videos that promised me great success.

I studied them all with great diligence.

Some were okay, but most of that stuff required at lot of time slugging it out on the computer, or required a big investment in startup cash. You know...money for advertising, money for sales copy and money for software that probably wouldn't do the job. It seemed as though nobody out there was willing to show me a simple way to earn $100 a day.

So I kept searching and researching until one day, while I was about to give up, I came across a site about Squidoo.
Squidoo allowed you to build lenses. These lenses were a one page site where you could write about your passions and interests and make money doing it. The search engines loved Squidoo lenses...they crawled them frequently and put them high up in the search engine rankings.

So I learned all I could about Squidoo and made my first lens and pretty soon I was making about 10 new lenses a day. I got so good at it that other Squidoo freaks would come to my sites and email me asking if I would consider selling my lens. At the time I didn't know you could sell lenses, so this came as a big surprise to me.

So I emailed these people back and asked them how much they were willing to pay. The first person that got back to me said he would give me $100 for a lens I had made about golf. I had totally forgotten about my golf lens. It had been sitting there on Squidoo for about a month after I built it.

So I emailed the person back and said: "SOLD"!

That was my first $100.

And in the next few days, I sold three more lenses at $100, $150 and $200. This was great. I had finally come up with a way to easily make that $100 a day, and more. I continued doing this for the next few months and got good at building and selling lenses for a nice profit.

And I found out that there are many people doing this and making a killing at it. There are no strings attached. Just build a good lens and then flip it for cash! It's a great way to make money! But the thing is, there are tried and true ways of going about this. It's not really as simple as putting up a lens and selling it. There are right ways of doing this and wrong ways.
